Celebratory gun fire during a wedding ceremony in India went horribly wrong when one guest was killed and four others were injured
Sadhvi Deva Thakur, 40, and her gun men started firing shots into the air soon after the wedding ceremony in Karnal district, Haryana, northern India, on November 15.
Guest Sunita, 48, was accidentally shot in the chest by a rogue bullet and tragically died later in hospital.
Sunita’s cousin, Rosy Dutta, 50, said: "It’s so shocking, we can’t digest it.
She was killed in front of my eyes and we couldn’t do anything to save her.
"My niece was also injured. This is just so unacceptable. The police seem to be sleeping in our city."
