Niyola was born in Lagos State, Nigeria, on December 9, 1985.Although she was born and raised in Lagos, she is originally from Ilesa, Osun State.
She was raised in a big family with ten siblings.
She sang with her siblings in the church choir as an active member when she was eight years old. She got interested in music when she went to a Funmi Adams concert.
